Is this allowed?
Yes. It's your recommender's own take on you, in each school's format, approved line by line and submitted by them. Nothing is made up. Most schools ask about AI use. It's a routine disclosure: your recommender names GetLOR the way they'd name ChatGPT.
How does it work?
An interview, then a draft. The voice interviewer is powered by ElevenLabs and the drafting is powered by Claude, tuned for one job: turning the interview into the best possible LOR for each school.
Will it sound like AI?
Less than most. Generic was always the risk with LORs; AI slop is the new one. The interviewer pushes for detail and candor your recommender wouldn't volunteer on their own, so the LOR is their stories, in their words, with the lines it came from shown under every answer.
Do I get to read it?
No, same as always. But you won't feel the need to: the answers are specific enough that neither of you is left wondering whether it's good.
What about the recording?
We never receive or store it. The call is transcribed and we only get text. Coworkers they mention get their names swapped out before anything is drafted.
